0.0: Start uphill on the signed Ridge Trail.
0.6: Junction. Turn left (the sign says "to Ancient Oaks Trail").
0.9: Junction. Turn right onto Ancient Oaks Trail.
1.2: Junction. Bear left, continuing on Ancient Oaks, toward Mindego Ridge Trail.
1.6: Ancient Oaks Trail ends at a signed junction. Turn right onto Mindego Ridge Trail.
1.9: Junction. Bear right (the faded sign points to vista point parking and the Ridge Trail) and head uphill.
2.2: Junction. Turn right onto Ridge Trail.
2.2: Fork. Both paths meet about .5 mile south on the other side of the hill. Take the trail to the right.
2.7: Junction with a path back to Ancient Oaks Trail on the right. Continue straight on the Ridge Trail.
2.8: The two Ridge Trail segments rejoin. Stay to the right.
3.0: Previously encountered junction with the path to the Ancient Oaks Trail. Continue straight on the Ridge Trail and retrace your steps back to the parking lot.
3.6: Back at the trailhead.

Getting there:
From Interstate 280 in Santa Clara County, exit #20 Page Mill Road, and head west. Drive about 9 miles on Page Mill to the junction with Skyline Boulevard, cross Skyline and continue straight onto Alpine Road, then make the first right into the parking lot.
