Mile:
(Starting mileage depends on parking location): From side of the road parking at the Sprig Lake staging area, walk to the end of the dirt road, and the signed start of two trails, Merry Go Round and Ridge. Take the trail on the right, Merry Go Round.
1.2: Junction with Old Mine Trail. Stay to the left on Merry Go Round Trail.
1.4: Junction with Tie Camp Trail. Continue straight on Merry Go Round Trail.
1.9: Junction. Turn left onto Loop Trail.
1.9: Junction with Tan Oak Trail. Continue straight on Loop Trail.
2.2: Two junctions, a few feet apart, with Upper Miller and Lower Miller Trails. Continue straight then left on Loop Trail.
2.5: Junction. Turn left onto Ridge Trail.
3.0: Junction with Contour Trail. Turn left to remain on Ridge Trail.
3.7: Junction with Tie Camp Trail. Continue straight on Ridge Trail.
4.3: Junction with Blackhawk Trail. Continue straight on Ridge Trail.
4.6: Gate, back at the end of the dirt road. Walk back to your vehicle.

Getting there:
From US 101 in Santa Clara County, exit CA 152 West. Drive through Gilroy, following 152, which jogs south on Monterey Street, then turns west. After about 7 miles (distance from 101), turn right into the park at the Sprig Lake sign.
