Bay Area Hiker: Half Moon Bay State Beach Blufftop Coastal Park/Half Moon Bay State Beach

Mile:
0.0: Begin walking north on either the paved or dirt trail heading north.
0.7: Half Moon Bay State Beach property. The trail bends right, crosses the entrance road, then runs parallel to the campground access road.
1.3: Junction just before a bridge crosses Pilarcitos Creek. Turn left.
1.35: Junction with path through dunes. Turn left.
1.5: Dune path ends at the park's campfire ring. Turn right and descend to the beach, then turn south (left).
2.6: Turn left onto an ascending trail.
2.7: Back at the blufftop, a few steps from the parking lot.

Getting there:
From CA 1 in San Mateo County, about 0.8 mile south of the CA 92 junction, turn west onto Poplar. Drive west on Poplar about 0.6 mile, to the parking lot at the end of the road.
