0.0: Walk from the parking lot towards the picnic area, following the signs for Sylvan Trail. After about 200 feet, you'll reach a T junction. Turn left onto Sylvan Trail.
0.2: Sylvan Trail meets Baywood Glen Trail. Bear left.
1.0: Junction. Continue straight/left on Serpentine Trail.
1.2: Junction. Live Oak Trail heads off to the right. Continue straight on Serpentine Trail.
1.4: Junction (number 20). Turn right, onto Sunset Trail.
1.6: A connector to Clarkia Trail sets off to the left. Turn right, continuing on Sunset Trail.
2.15: Junction (14) and information kiosk. The trail to the left leaves the park and passes under the highway, leading to Edgewood Road (and continuing to Cañada Road). Continue straight, now on Edgewood Trail.
2.2: Junction with Ridgeview Trail. Continue straight on Edgewood Trail. 2.3: Junction. Turn right on Serpentine Trail.
2.6: Junction (10) with Old Stage Road. Bear left.
2.9: Junction (6). Turn right onto Franciscan Trail.
3.2: Junction (8). Turn left onto Baywood Glen Trail.
3.8: Previously encountered junction (7). Turn left and retrace your steps to the parking lot.
4.0: Back at the trailhead.

Getting there:
From Interstate 280 in San Mateo County exit Edgewood Road, then drive east on Edgewood for about 1 mile. The entrance is on the south (right) side of the road, just past Edmonds Road.
