Edgewood Park and Preserve
0.0: Walk from the parking lot towards the picnic area, following the signs for
Sylvan Trail. After about 200 feet, you'll reach a T junction. Turn left onto
0.2: Sylvan Trail splits at a junction. Bear left.
1.0: Junction. Continue straight on Serpentine Loop Trail.
1.4: Junction. Ridgeview Trail heads off to the right. Continue straight on Serpentine
1.5: Junction. Turn right, remaining on Serpentine Loop Trail.
1.8: A connector to Clarkia Trail sets off to the left. Turn right, continuing
on Serpentine Loop Trail.
2.4: Signed junction and information kiosk. The trail to the left leaves the park
and passes under the highway, leading to Edgewood Road (and continuing to Cañada
Road). Continue straight on Serpentine Loop Trail.
2.4: Two junctions in quick sucession. Continue straight on Serpentine Loop Trail
2.8: Serpentine Loop Trail veers right at a signed junction with the Service Road
(identified as Old Stage Road on some maps). Bear left onto the Service Road.
3.1: Unsigned junction. Turn right.
3.3: Junction. Take Sylvan Trail left (east) towards the parking lot.
2.7: Previously encountered junction. Turn left and retrace your steps to the

From Interstate 280 in San Mateo County exit Edgewood Road, then drive east on
Edgewood for about 1 mile. The entrance is on the south (right) side of the
road, just past Edmonds Road.
