Alto Bowl Open Space Preserve

0.0: Begin at the pullout on Camino Alto. Walk north on the side of the road about 120 feet, then turn right onto signed Bob Middagh Trail.
0.5: Junction. Turn right onto Alto Bowl Fire Road.
0.6: End of the fire road, at a gate. Beyond the barrier, there's a paved cul-de-sac. Turn left, uphill, onto Horse Hill Trail, which starts at a step-over behind a short wooden fence.
0.7: Crest and junction. Turn right to remain on Horse Hill Trail.
1.0: Gate, and entrance to grazing area.
1.1: Crest and turnaround point. Retrace your steps back to the trailhead.
2.2: Back on the side of Camino Alto.

Getting there:
From Highway 101 in Marin County, exit East Blithedale/Tiburon Boulevard. Drive west on East Blithedale about 0.8 mile, then turn right onto Camino Alto. Drive north on Camino Alto about 1.2 miles, to a pullout on the right side, about 120 feet from an open space gate on the right.
