We are having a free program called “Sierra Nevada Experience” at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Library, 150 E. San Fernando St., San José, CA 95112. It will be held on Monday, March 23 at 7:00pm in rooms 225/229. Below is the blurb about it.

Come experience our majestic Sierra Nevada Mountains. This program will include breathtaking photos and campfire tales collected along a route the first explorers could have taken from Lone Pine to Mineral King. We will also share locations in the Bay Area where you can find a remote alpine lake or trail in one day no matter what your mobility level. Presented by Bob Stienstra, San Jose resident and brother of Tom Stienstra (SJSU Hall of Fame Outdoor Journalist and author).
