I wanted to let everyone know about this great hike:
When: Sunday May 4, 2008
Where: Purissima Redwoods Open Space
What: Led by Kings Mountain resident Ken Fisher - the hike will raise funds for Kings Mountain Elementary School
Times:
Hike #1 - 9:00 a.m. (Soda Gulch Loop: 5.6 miles – this hike will be led by Ken Fisher)
Hike #2 – NOON (North Trail Loop: 3 miles – this shorter hike is being offered for hikers who prefer shorter distances and for families who would like to bring small children)
Registration fee: $40
(Children 12 and under are FREE)
Sponsorships: All hikers are asked to raise a minimum of $100 in sponsorships. (not required)
Meeting Place/Check-in: Main entrance on Skyline Blvd, 4.5 miles south of Hwy 92 in Woodside (graveled parking lot next to old Country Store) For Hike #1 – the hike will end at the south Purissima parking lot. If possible, please arrange to leave a vehicle there, OR shuttle service back to the north parking lot will be provided.
The hike includes a commemorative T-shirt, plenty of water, refreshments and automatic entry into a raffle with lots of hiking related prizes!

The Mountain House will be donating a percentage of the proceeds to Kings Mountain School.
