Has anyone been there?

The last I heard, land negotiators were trying to add the waterfall to Pleasanton Ridge Park.  Does anyone know if progress has been made in obtaining the waterfall?

Parsec, a lot of new territory will be open soon at Pleasanton Ridge. I believe the falls of which you speak are the ones toward the north, in the newer acquisition, and east of the ridge. If that's the case, then yes, it'll be part of the park soon.
Once all the trails have been created and deemed safe for public use, you'll be able to hike all over Pleasanton Ridge and end up in Garin Park in the Hayward hills if you wish. It's a very cool plan, and if you're a resident of the District prepare for more by voting for the continuation of the bond this November! I know it's the highest priority on my agenda this year.

I read about the expansion, but from what I saw, Tehan Falls will not be added to the park until 2011.

I was at Tehan Falls about 6 years ago. I had to trespass to get there from Foothill and I don’t recommend this route because a private residence sits in the narrow canyon leading to the falls (I picked my way through steep terrain and brush in order not to be seen!). I make a point to see every waterfall in the bay area. I'm happy to see that as of last week, Tehan Falls is on public land! There is no trail established yet, so only experienced off-trail individuals should attempt to bush-wack a better (i.e. legal) route from the ridge above.

Here is a link to an article about Tehan Falls that was just published about a week ago:

The second half of the article gives a lot more information specific to Tehan Falls. I can't wait until there is public access to it!

Does anyone know exactly how to get to Tehan Falls? I would be interested in bushwhacking there!
