Curses.....I was driving home today and couldn't help but notice a plume of smoke from yet another fire in the Santa Cruz mountains. This time it looks to be north of highway 17.

I just heard that the fire in the Bonny Doon area, near Ice Cream flat. Over 1000 acres have already burned, and no equipment has yet been brought to bear. 4:53 PM Wednesday.

OK, got some real information now. The fire is not as big as first estimated. Only about 100 acres.

Now, thanks to the lightening and also an arsonist, we have hundreds of fires.
