I saw loads of wildflowers on my hike to Rose from Del Valle this morning.  Mile after mile I'd see hills that were predominantly yellow, white, or purple.  Interesting how there always seemed to be different types of flowers after walking a mile or two.  Unfortunately I can't identify any of the flowers except for the handful of poppies I saw.

I think the prettiest flower had 5 petals, about an inch across, was blue with a white center, and grew low to the ground.

There was another one I liked that was a little smaller.  It had 5 petals which looked white but on close inspection I could see that the tips had a ting of purple.

Most of the non yellow flowers seemed to have 5 petals.
